Our mission is to increase quality and yield in the food value chain by supplying objective and reliable visual inspection of grain.

Cgrain AB was founded in 2013 by Jaan Luup as a collaborative initiative with Lantmännen ek för. Since the beginning, we have maintained a strong focus on innovation and technological development—both internally and in collaboration with academic institutions. Our first product was delivered in 2015 and is still in operation today, a clear testament to its quality and durability.

Based in Uppsala, Sweden, Cgrain AB remains majority-owned by Lantmännen. Over the years, we have continuously evolved our solutions to meet the needs of the industry. In 2018, we introduced deep learning into our systems, and in 2023 we advanced even further with more sophisticated models. In 2024, we launched the Cgrain Value Sorter—a powerful tool for grain quality analysis.

Our analysis software reached a major milestone with the release of version 2.0 in 2025. The same year, we rebranded and introduced a new logo to reflect our modern and forward-looking identity.

Throughout the years, we have continuously improved both our software and hardware, while expanding our capabilities to analyze a wider range of grain types. We want to promote fair trade and enhance both quality and yield throughout the entire grain value chain.
